1) Do these Masters programs have any affiliation with any university or UGC? Any Other Government Agency ?

Bhishma School of Indian Knowledge System is affiliated to Central Sanskrit University, Delhi (CSU) and  it is a recognized institute for conducting Skill and professional Education courses. Bhishma courses syllabus & curriculam are approved by the University. The degree certificate will be given by Central Sanskrit University. BSIKS Masters programs are accredited by IACDSC, USA, an international accreditation agency in USA. Thus Bhsihma School courses are affiliated with CSU-UGC in India and Globally accrediated by IACDSC, USA. BSIKS has associations with Maharshi Vedvyas Pratishthan,, Sakshi Trust, Bengaluru, Vijnyan Bharati, Vidya Bharati Uchha Shiksha Sansthan, Sanskrit Bharati, IHAR - USA & India, Hindu Council of Australia,  etc. UGC has recently included IKS & Hindu Studies as a subject for NET examination. 5. Is attendance compulsory for Masters Programs? 

Ans. :-  Attendance is required. We encourage all students to attend the sessions as students get enlightened and thrilled after learning the content by attending the same.

6. What will be the examination pattern? How students will be assessed ?  

Ans. :-   There will be an assessment of 100 marks for each paper. Division of marks will be as follows:- Written Examination by CSU - 60 Marks, Internal Assignments - 20 Marks, Internal Oral - 20 Marks, Total 100 Marks per Paper.

7.  Please inform me about the Extra-Curricular Activities,  Internship, Project, Dissertation, Interview Skills. 

Ans. :-   It is part of the Course and it carries 4 Credits each. 

  

8. Please explain the Idea of Extra Curricular Activities? 

Ans. :- Students are expected to perform following extracurricular activities throughout the course period i.e. 4 semesters. 
1) Reading minimum 4 books / 8 research papers per semester related to Indian Knowledge System.
2) Visiting an Academic Conference/ Cultural event, IKS Meets, Sangeet Mahotsav,etc once in a semester.
3) Visiting a Museum, Archive, library and similar places.
4) Visiting an Archaeological site, Caves, Ancient temples and similar places.
5) Participating in Yoga, Healthcare, Meditation, Omkar Sadhana, camps etc.
6) Attending workshop, seminar, heritage, cultural walks, participating in heritage, cultural, spiritual tour, etc
7) Participating in yadnya, yatra, parikrama, kumbh mela, mountaineering and trekking expedition, Ayodhya, Kashi, Narmada Parikrama, etc
8) Participating in lok festivals and cultural programmes including Tribal, Hilly, Rural, Food, Religious festivals, etc
9) Visiting any campus of Central Sanskrit University campuses in India ( With prior permission) 
10) Interviewing with Eminent Personalities in IKS (with minimum experience 30 yrs)
11) Visiting Gurukul, Ved Pathshala, Buddha Vihar, Shramana school, etc
12) Preparing a book or booklet of minimum 120 pages on any topic related to Indian Knowledge System, Culture, etc 
13) Preparing a short film / documentary film on IKS of minimum 10-15 mins.
14) Preparing a Physical model of Yadnya vedi, scaled model of ancient temple, layout of ancient town planning, etc
15) Any other Innovative idea related to IKS

Students are required to complete any 1 activity per semester out of above-mentioned activities. Every Student is required to submit a brief report of minimum 1000 words on the above-mentioned activities.

 

9. What will be the structure of assignments and how they should be submitted?  

Ans. :-  There will be 20 marks assignment for each subject. Students will be provided 10 questions for the assignment and they require to write descriptive answers for 4 questions in around 2000 words. Answers should be handwritten, and after writing the answers, students need to make PDF documents and upload on given link. All students are required to upload assignments on the given link. Hard copies will not be accepted.

10.  What will be the structure of the Project and how it will be assessed?  

Ans. :- There will be 2 projects i.e. one project per year. Based on the subjects covered in the program, students will be given elective topics for the project. The project can be based on the below point with reference to the different concepts taught in the program –
•    Validation of concept
•    Application of concept
•    Creating physical dummy models
•    Finding references and proofs for the concept, etc.
   Students have to write the thesis and present it in front of an external faculty panel.

11. What will be the language of the study material? 

Ans. :-   Study Material will be mainly in Hindi. There will be English content also.

12. What will be the language of teaching?

Ans. :-  Teaching will be in the Hindi language mixed with English.

13. Please explain the Internship. 

Ans. :-   Every Student is required to complete an internship of 15 days (minimum 60 hours duration – 4 to 5 hours per day) with any organisation, institute, school, company, trust, etc. Internship must be completed in the second semester only. The formal certificate must be produced and submitted after the completion of the internship.

14. Please explain the Dissertation.

Ans. :-   The dissertation in the MA course on Indian Knowledge System is an essential part of the program, allowing students to explore and research a specific topic in depth. It serves as a platform to showcase their understanding of Indian traditions and their ability to connect traditional knowledge with modern academic approaches. The following points outline the key aspects of the dissertation -
• It should involve original and critical inquiry into topics related to Indian philosophy, science, arts, or culture.
• The dissertation must include an in-depth analysis based on primary sources like ancient texts, manuscripts, or inscriptions, along with secondary scholarly interpretations.
• It should reflect a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical relevance, integrating traditional wisdom with contemporary perspectives.
• Students should demonstrate academic rigor, clarity of thought, and a coherent methodology throughout their research.
• The work must uphold ethical standards, avoiding plagiarism and ensuring originality in both content and approach.
• Interdisciplinary exploration and creative thinking should be encouraged, highlighting the relevance of traditional knowledge in today’s world.
• The dissertation should use authentic references and present findings in a structured, academically sound manner.

15. Please explain Interview Skills. 

Ans. : Every Student is required to present the interview skills. There will be mock interview sessions where students will be interviewed.

​16. Do I need to download any app for live sessions? 

Ans. :-   Yes. You need to download the Zoom application for live sessions.

17. After Masters Program, will the students be eligible to join Ph.D. programs? 

Ans. :- Yes. The masters program is 84 credits. Students can join after completing Masters Programs.

Ans. :-   Please note that there will be no refund of any fees after taking the admission in any circumstances. All complaints will have Pune City jurisdiction limit only. 22. What will be the mode of communication and language for students while communicating with BSIKS office  ?

Ans. :-   No. There is no age limit. Anyone above the age of 18 years, can join the Masters Programs.
